learning to pray

today was quite a insightful day for me..
for today i learnt the way to bow down in prayer
which was what i learnt in today's prayer meeting..
for in the past, prayer meeting has been a daily routine
whereby i meet up with brothers and sisters in Christ
and pray together to God on a chair
but today i get to feel what it is like to pray on bended knees

today's prayer meeting uncle chen puar suggested that we do
have our prayer the "traditional" way
and the prayer was for 30mins.. it was firstly not so bad
then things start to get worse by the numb and pain
then the uncomfort kicks in and uneasiness start to make me moves
until the very last few mins, my muscles starts feel lots of pain..

but after the prayer, it feels quite good
to get a feeling of how the people from the early church feels
when they bowed down and prayed which is way longer than 30mins..

also today's sharig from the group is that human tendency when
praying was that we prays for our own needs and wants but
we forgotten to pray for the church and the people..
which reminds me of jason png, who i was greatly encouraged..
for his prayer request is that he prays for the youths in church
and there is nothing anout himself in the prayer list..

anyway, there is nothing much in my school to talk about..
just that the girls team for tennis has ended their season for A div
while the guys team has also ended like yesterday for losing 3 rounds straight
so tmr going to SAJC is just for fun only..

a verse from a song to post today..
On bended knee i come

On bended knee i come
with a humble heart i come
bowing down before your holy throne
lifting holy hands to you
as i pledge my love anew
i worship you in spirit
i worship you in truth
make my life a holy praise unto you

learning to pray was sure a one thing that i had learnt
and never will forget about it..

~weiyang~
to pray to God with all our hearts, minds and souls
