trip to meta home

today was once refreshing course for me to be back
back to serving the community with my class..
and it's really a reminder to me how fortunate i am..
this trip has made me realize that i haven't been
thankful for the many things i have..
it left me scarred when i left that place
but the whole class brought joy to the many people there who were
mostly mentally impaired and can't take care of themselves..
and i'm glad that i have made a day special for those people
with my classmates who sweat it out all together..

at first sight, i was shocked..
in BB, even though i was with the poor and needy
they are still capable of taking care of themselves..
just that we would need to provide for them the necessity
to ensure their survival..
but the group i have work with? they need all the help they need..

i have to suck it up and hold on to the tears that were welling up
i lasted through the whole day..
i played with the people there and bring much joy to the many people
i have patiently worked with those who need more attention
but the last part of the day made me broke down..

there was one young girl who was there
at first look she seems to be parental abuse
(this is my OWN OPINION, DON'T YOU QUOTE ME!)
and i was suppose to look for people who doesn't have ribbons
as we were suppose to tie ribbons on their hands as a gift for them..
and so i was there trying to help this young girl tie that ribbon
onto her hands.. but the language barrier with the constant shaking of
her head has made me puzzled with what she wants me to do..
so i literally sat there with her for the next 10 mins or so
while i try to figure out what she wants me to do with her with the ribbons
and all she wanted is for me to tie it onto her hands the ribbons tightly
so i tied it tightly while carefully as i don't want to hurt her as well..
but the last thing i expected was her to hug me..
all the people there needed was just one thing: LOVE
if their family members whom have really loved them
there won't be a need for them to be there..

and after that hug, i went to the toilet and cry..
not until one of the meta home people who came in to go to the toilet
i would end up crying in there.. till someone came to look for me..
nothing has touched me for so long..
the feel to serve the community..
the love for the lost..
i wonder do they know God? the true God?

anyway after the trip, i was able to calm down and enjoy lunch
with my classmate and had quite a fair bit of fun..
although we wanted to watch 'clash of the titans' together
we do not have enough money to watch as it cost $9 )=
so i think it means that i would have to wait then..

no doubt about this as said by my teacher
:" you will learn more from the people there,
and that it will not only touched their lives and
make them remember that people has cared for them,
but you will remember this day, for you have touched theirs"

a strayed heart that needs to make it's way back to the caring Father
